After a while, the big fish and small fish climbed to the surface with dense density. Nearly an hour later, hundreds of people who have heard have flocked to the river to catch fish for sale.

Massive fish die on Serepok live

A resident with a house near the Serepok River said: Waking up in the night because of the strong stench because dead fish rose from the river. Also following this person, during the night, there were hundreds of people sailing, going along the river to catch fish. According to the people, the cause of the mass death of fish mentioned above is because industrial parks close to Serepok river discharging waste pollute the water source. In the morning of January 28, a large amount of water was black, stinking from the Tam Thang Industrial Park (Cu Jut and Dak Nong districts) continued to flow into the Serepok River.

Previously, the People's Committee of Dak Nong province also decided to sanction a factory located in this Industrial Park VND 225 million because it discharged wastewater beyond the permitted standard to the Serepok River.
