Vietnamese people often say: 'A smile is equal to 10 tonic scales', and Westerners think that 'Smile is the key to success'. So what does the smile have to do with people's health and success?

Recently, Professor Ron Gutman has done a research project called ' Deciphering the Mystery Behind Smiles '. He conducted a comprehensive study of aspects: psychology, anthropology, sociology and many other areas to find the unknowns of smiles.

This study begins with a yearbook (a book that records the achievement of students) of a school in California. The results show that students who laugh often have very good results in exams as well as have lots of fun in life. Next, the study analyzed the laughter time at 1952 football players and gave the length of the smile proportional to the life expectancy of people.

Smile is the instinct of humanity right from the moment of birth. New born babies laugh when they sleep. Children with vision loss can still laugh through the sounds it hears from their mothers.
