Decoding the algorithm appears in the logo illustrated by Google on November 2

George Boole was a famous British mathematician in the 19th century. His work on the law of thinking was the foundation for the digital revolution of mankind. So, the Google logo (also called Doodle) today (November 2) was made to celebrate the 200th anniversary of his birth.

Boole was born on November 2, 1815 at Licolnshire and died in 1864, at the age of 49. He was known as one of the most influential mathematicians of the 19th century, establishing a logical system to condense Complex thoughts into simple equations.

His life's work is Boolean Logic , a mathematical theory in which all variables are 'right' or 'wrong', either 'on' or 'off'. This theory was born before the digital era, and then Claude Shannon applied Boolean Logic to build circuits in the years, originating of modern computers.

Google's doodle today is an image of logic gates used in calculations and derived from Boolean functions.

The first 'G' , 2 'o' , 'l' and 'e' in the word 'Google' are displayed flashing based on the logic gates below them. When 'x' and 'y ' in the second 'g ' appear, it means they are turned on, and will trigger other letters to glow at different times.

For example, when both the letter 'x' and 'y' appear, the first 'g' has (x AND y) below and the second 'o' has (x OR y) below it will be lit. .

The 'XOR' gate that activates the first known 'o' is an 'Exlusive OR' port, meaning it only pops up when one and only one variable x or y is correct.

Today, this logic is the foundation of every digital device , is present in most lines of computer code, and contributes to changing our lives.

For example, when using the Google search engine to look up two words 'David Cameron' , including the 'AND' function, it means that both values 'David' and 'Cameron' need to be displayed in the Search Results.

For most of his life, Boole assumed the position of Professor of Mathematics at College College Cork in Ireland. He was also the first person to come up with the theory of artificial intelligence , and believed that all human thoughts could be reduced to a series of mathematical rules. He also advocated the use of machines as an alternative tool, to alleviate human fatigue.

On November 2, Google's Doodle can be found worldwide, except the United States, Mexico, Italy and countries in the Middle East and Africa.
