Demonstration of cloning techniques in Vietnam
You want to see for yourself, scientists perform cloning techniques. Attend the Asia Reproductive Biology Conference, in Hanoi at the end of November. A major conference on reproductive biotechnology in Asia will take place in Hanoi from November 29 to December 1 here.
On September 26, Dr. Nguyen Van Thuan, a Vietnamese expert, is working at the Japan Center for Biotechnology and Physiology, and also running the Asian Reproductive Biotechnology Association. said above.

This conference brings together 70 biological experts from countries and territories such as India, South Korea, Indonesia and Japan; Singapore, Vietnam, Taiwan. In addition, the conference also has the participation of many Asian scientists currently living and working in the US and Europe in the field of stem cell research.
At the conference, experts will exchange information on the latest results and achievements related to stem cells, cloning (cloning), microscopic fertilization, egg cell development. and in vitro embryos.
In particular, at this conference, scientists also demonstrated practical techniques such as egg and sperm cell preservation, gene transfer in animals (transgenic).
Notably, as expected, Dr. Nguyen Van Thuan and Dr. Teruhiko Wakayama of the Center for Biotechnology, RIKEN Institute will demonstrate enucleation and nuclear transfer. This is a sophisticated technique that requires skillful and sophisticated manipulations to clone animal clones.
To attend the Conference above, interested people can contact TS.Bui Xuan Nguyen, Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology, 18 Hoang Quoc Viet, Nghia Do, Hanoi, Vietnam.Tel: (84.4) 7562902, Fax: (84.4) 7912633, E-mail to:saola@netnam.vn or buixn@yahoo.com . Or Dr. Nguyen Van Thuan, RIKEN-Center for Developmental Biology, Japan, E-mail: nvthuan@cdb.riken.go.jp.
Deadline for registration is November 15, 2006.
Vietnam 's achievements in stem cell research are mostly stopped on animals because Vietnam does not yet have a legal framework for studying stem cells from human embryos.
In mid-September 2005, Assoc. Prof. Nguyen Mong Hung and his colleagues from the Department of Biology, Hanoi University of Natural Sciences succeeded in separating and culturing blood stem cells from mouse embryonic stem cells.
Besides, Vietnamese scientists in the field of stem cell research are very few.
