Intelligent fingerprinting, linked to scientists at the University of East Anglia (UK), has introduced a compact handheld device that can detect the presence of drugs or other substances in the body by analyzing the The part of the sweat is in the fingerprint.

If the subject uses drugs, the device immediately displays the results on the screen along with the fingerprints of the person being examined. Technology is therefore believed to yield accurate results. The whole process takes only a few minutes.

The device is expected to be manufactured in 2012 and is also used to detect abnormal health signs.

Earlier, scientists at Imperial College London also developed a device that identifies race, diet, or gender of criminals through fingerprints.
