Detecting species of geckos stripped like fish, reddish like mice

The new German scientists discovered the new gecko subspecies has a way of molting with a "frightening" part. So know how amazing nature is!

Gecko or skin gecko is a natural phenomenon, but not everyone can see it once.

Unlike other animals that have only molted one or more years to molt once, geckos molt quite often.

They will rub their bodies against the rough tree branches to remove the old skin, then slowly get out of the old skin.

The gecko rubbed its body against the rough tree branch so that the old skin would tear.

However, this newly discovered Madagascar gecko has a way of skinning its "horror" much more than stripping the entire skin, leaving it inert.

Scientists named the lizard with this "fish scale" skin layer , Geckolepis megalepis.

Specifically, the scales of "fish scales" geckos are attached to the skin with a narrow connection. Above the skin there are areas that form like perforated paper. So just Geckolepis rubbed against the trunk, the "fish scales" easily slipped out.

Many people feel a bit scared when they see the appearance of geckos after stripping, they are red like mice.

After a few weeks, another "scab" layer will be formed and the gecko possesses a handsome, beautiful look.

Experts are extremely surprised by this type of skin peeling so tried to lure them into plastic bags for research. However, when caught, the "revival" of the skin seemed more difficult.

The lead author Mark Scherz, a graduate student at Ludwig Maximilian München University in Germany, said: "A study a few years ago has shown that our understanding of the diversity of fish scales is completely inadequate.

It shows us that there are actually about 13 highly distinct genetic lines in this genus, and not just three or four species we think exist.

However, to name it, we have to find a reliable feature to complement it, which helps distinguish it from other species. "

So the experts turned to studying the geckos' bones and noticed some noticeable differences.

However, Mr. Mark Scherz said that more research is needed before making any conclusions. Even so, skin peeling like this gecko also makes many people feel shivers.
