Living fossils are a term used to refer to species or living organisms, but it seems that species are only known from fossils, there are no relatives of any surviving species. These creatures still exist today, their shape is hardly evolved than hundreds of millions of years ago.
Tadpole Shrimp fossils were discovered after the flooded rain created many large puddles. According to local people, these pools are large enough for organisms to reproduce.
Long-tailed tadpoles usually live at the bottom of temporary puddles and shallow lakes. They eat small creatures in the water.
