Cosmic garbage can affect the International Space Station

This code of conduct was initiated by the European Union in 2009, just days after a discontinued military satellite using Russia collided with an American telecommunications satellite. According to Reuters, China launched missiles in 2007 to destroy a weather satellite that had stopped working. The satellite break is said to have created hundreds of fragments that could be dangerous on Earth orbit.

It is estimated that there are about 19,000 fragments of all kinds of missiles, spacecraft or satellites that are "fluttering " in orbit. At a rate of thousands of miles per hour, small pieces of debris could be detrimental to space ships and the International Space Station (ISS), a $ 100 billion project. Recently, ISS had to raise the altitude to avoid being collided with pieces of cosmic trash.
