Picture 1 of Discover ancient books made from ox horns On the occasion of the study of cultural preservation of the minority ethnic Shui (China), archaeologists in the Libo district of Guizhou province collected a pair of ox horns with the words " Book of the Shui ".

After the first meticulous analysis, the researchers confirmed that the two books from this cow horn have existed for about 1,000 years and were first discovered in China.

Each horn has a length of 35 cm, engraved about 20 words and the symbol of Shui is very difficult to decipher, with patterns such as scales, vertebrae and scales of fish, peacocks, dragons flying in the sky, fish jumping out water, phoenix, fairies flying in clouds and mist, moon, sun, fireball, mask of mandarins, soldiers .

After many efforts, the experts deciphered 8 words meaning "leopard, year, day, pride" and "tiger, moon, time, wolf". They claim that, with special motifs and letters, these horns symbolize the two yin and yang theory, which is suitable for the Chinese philosophy and medicine industry.

The "positive" horn is mainly used for good harvests, festive days, and "negative" horns are mainly used in battles and attacks.
