Discover the largest, most crude dragonfly in the world
In the middle of July 2014, the survey team of the Chengdu Insect Museum discovered one of the world's largest aquatic dragonfly insects in Sichuan province.
With wings spread to 21cm wide, this insect is considered the largest and most crude insect in the world. Scientists were also surprised to find the world's most "dangerous" dragonfly because it had never been known before.
The world's largest dragonfly species broke the species record that was previously discovered in Central South America called Dragonfly helicopter with a wingspan of 19.1cm.
Previously, history once recorded the most dreaded dragonfly with a wingspan of 75cm, but this species was extinct from more than 250 million years ago.
