Discover the most original 4-legged fossil fossils

Scientists have unearthed a skull of the oldest four-legged creature in history, in the stone class of Latvia. This whole specimen has intermediate characteristics between fish and land animals.

This fierce-looking creature may have swam in brackish waters, about 1 meter long and eat other fish, the team said.

It has a fish-like body, but the head is more of a creature adapted to land than underwater.

"If you look at it from a distance, it looks like a small crocodile, but if you get close, you'll see a fin on its back," said Per Ahlberg, professor of evolutionary biology at Uppsala University in Switzerland. Dictionary, said.

Scientists have long acknowledged that all land animals have backbones (including humans) descended from a small group of fish, leaving water up to 365 million years ago.

This organism is considered an important milestone in the evolutionary journey that moves from shallow water to species.
