Researchers at the Singapore botanical garden have discovered two new plants belonging to the family Hanguana only in this country.

Hanguana rubinea is a tree with ruby ​​red fruits or dark pink, yellow water. The second species, Hanguana triangulata , has a triangular-shaped head. These are two endemic species in Singapore, which are classified as globally threatened plants.

"Finding any new species in the Singapore metropolitan area is a miracle, partly because of our small land area, partly because many plants in Singapore are present throughout Southeast Asia." Leong-Skornickova, who discovered the new plant, said.
