Do not laugh more if you want to become a boss

In today's business environment, cold, proud women are the subjects that business owners value when they recruit managerial positions.

Many women are talented, have new ideas and work hard, but they never have the opportunity to take over management positions. To understand the cause, psychologists from the Technical University of Munich in Germany carried out many studies to understand the criteria for selecting managers of businesses, universities and research institutes. They invited many senior leaders to participate in the tests, Telegraph reported.

The team asked leaders to read information about many employees and ask for some vacant management positions. Then leaders must state their expectations for those management positions.

The results show that every leader wants to choose people who are assertive, tough and able to overwhelm others. They also acknowledge that they always regard women as friendly, open, soft people, so they are not suitable for leadership.

"Most leaders believe that men will be more assertive when they take control , " said Professor Isabell Welpe, lead researcher.

But what surprised the research team is that even female leaders tend to choose male candidates whenever they recruit people for managerial positions.

Welpe argues that, in order to be in the employer's sights when applying for a managerial position, women should break the pattern that society imposes on women. For example, they should be cold and proud - the necessary qualities of those who hold the role of a steering organization.

"People often think that open and funny women don't have the ability and aspirations to be leaders. In addition, people acknowledge pride as a necessary quality of managers," Welpe commented. .
