Scientists conducted a " gambling " experiment on pigeons, by offering two food choices for them.

The first option has a probability of 20% receiving 10 food particles and 80% getting nothing. The second option has a higher probability, about 30% receive food particles.

The results show that most pigeons find the first choice, with the probability of receiving less food.

Scientists say this pigeon's behavior is difficult to explain by evolutionary theory, but there may be some profound physiological mechanism that makes the pigeon always have a small probability. so.
