Horses are as smart as dolphins and doves

In a test that was conducted, scientists found that horses were able to analyze symbols when communicating with humans. Thus, horses have been listed by scientists as a small number of potentially intelligent rare animals such as some primates, dolphins and doves.

The horse's choice was not accidental but due to conditions that required blankets or blankets.

Scientists have trained 23 riding horses of different breeds to learn how to choose between the 3 signs on the board that imply "throwing a blanket over the horse", "take off the blanket and pull the horse" and "Leave it alone".

Before that, the horse owners often decided what to do with the blanket covering the horse every time it was hot, cold wind or rain. Within 14 days, all of these 23 horses learned how to announce their choices based on symbols. The average time for them to belong to the lesson is 10 days.

According to the authors of the study, the training course, the horse's choice is not accidental but due to the conditions of blanket or blanket removal.

When there is rain, wind or cold, there is no blanket, the horse selects the symbol "put on a blanket to cover the horse" , when there is a blanket on the person, the horse uses a muzzle pointing to the symbol which means "just leave it alone". On the contrary, when the heat is hot, the horse tries to point at the symbol that says "take off the blanket and put the horse out".

The study was published in the scientific journal Applied Animal Behavior Science.
