Small horses like ... cats

Over 50 million years ago, Earth's temperatures were higher than now, and cat-only horses have a lot in North American forests.

According to US scientists, the size of the Sifrhippus horse is getting smaller and smaller for tens of thousands of years to adapt to rising temperatures, as methane is released more and more due to volcanic eruptions.

Horses are getting smaller and smaller to adapt to the hot weather.

This study may be related to the mechanism by which these animals are now adapting to increasingly hot temperatures on Earth due to climate change and increasing amounts of carbon emissions.

The researchers discovered this after analyzing fossilized horse teeth samples found in the western state of Wyoming.

Many animals have become extinct during the period of 56 million years ago, but many animals are getting smaller to survive in limited food sources. The weight of the Sifrhippus horse dropped by almost a third, so much so that they weighed only about 7kg.
