Drinks like 'stupid' people

Young people drinking regularly will be less intelligent when making decisions compared to those who do not drink alcohol constantly. In addition, the earlier a person starts to drink, the more likely the decision-making skill will be affected, said Dr. Anna E. Goudriaan and colleagues at the University of Missouri-Columbia.

Picture 1 of Drinks like 'stupid' people Puberty and adulthood are two times when many people often drink and are an important stage in making essential decisions in life.

To determine whether drinking habits are related to decision-making skills, researchers have asked 200 male and female students to complete the Iowa Gambling Task test (IGT), in which players Find a way to win by choosing the right cards.

Students also completed a questionnaire about drinking habits for 4 years of college. Binge drinking is defined as drinking more than 5 cups at a time. The higher-grade girls who performed the test were much lower than those who drank less, and the earlier they got used to the yeast, the less they did.

Goudriaan and his colleagues conclude: "Drinking from a young age and prolonged will make you less lucid when making important decisions for yourself."
