The European Union (EU) has just launched a DAMOCLES plan to find out exactly what causes the melting of the Arctic ice.

Every year the Arctic sea ice is reduced by about 37,000 square kilometers. On average, the thickness of the tape from 3.1m now is only 1.8m.

The DAMOCLES ( Devetoping of Arctic Modeling and Observing Captions) for Long- Term Plan was formed with the participation of 100 experts from 45 research facilities across Europe to observe the long-term changes of the seas. Arctic ice as well as understanding the consequences of climate change causes melting ice.

Nothol, an environmental expert at the Institute of Environmental Physics at the University of Bremen, Germany, said: The arctic reaction is very sensitive to global warming compared to other areas of the earth. .
