Feed cats and dogs instead ... children
Lonely women in the UK are tending to find fun from pets. A survey revealed that they raised animals to satisfy their desire to be a mother. About 600,000 British women consider their hairy friend as an adopted child.
(Photo: imagesource) The survey results show that 18-29 girls are the most lonely group, in which more than half feed cats or dogs to have a companion. About 83% of women have pets that regard animals as a family member.
The survey conducted by the swiftcover.com website also found that women are the most animal-loving people, with 52% of cats raising, compared to only 38% of men. Half of the women also keep dogs while this figure in men is 39%.
" It's amazing to see more and more women taking care of their pets like their children, " said Swiftcover.com director Craig Staniland. " But with the trend of getting married later and the career is put on top, it is clear that women need pets to make up for the loneliness in their lives ."
Also according to the survey, employers often spend money on their furry children, with 21% admitting that they are very fond of pet dogs or cats. People in the 18-29 age group are most likely to suffer from the most effective syndromes, about 18% spend money on expensive items such as dog fashion necklaces.
Psychologist Claire Halsey said that pets are very beneficial for mental and physical health, both helping to reduce stress and blood pressure, as well as a great source of comfort like family members.
