Find over 600 new species of creatures on Madagascar

According to the latest report of the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) on Monday (June 6), more than 600 new species of organisms were found in the past decade on the island of Madagascar (Africa).

From 1999 to 2010, on this island, 590,000 square kilometers, 615 newly discovered species, including 41 mammal species, 385 species of plant-eating animals, 69 amphibian species, 61 reptile species, 17 species fish and 42 species of invertebrates.

In particular, here, there are many 'tiny' animals or primates in the world like Berthe rats 10 cm long. One of 15 blind snakes named Xenotyphlops mocquardi, was captured alive in 2005.

The researchers also found the golden spider Komac, capable of spreading silk up to 10 meters or the chameleon species change color from brown to green (discovered in 2009).

WWF warned that many of these animals are facing extinction, which is caused by deforestation.
