Fish turn into balls

Thanks to the ability to suck water or air into the abdomen to enlarge the body into a sphere, the puffer fish can challenge the most terrifying predators.

Puffer fish of Tetraodontidae - means "there are four teeth" in Latin. This is their outstanding identity. 4 incisors have large size and develop very fast, almost like teeth of rodents. Puffer fish loves to eat crustaceans and molluscs with hard shells to wear teeth. Because of this characteristic, they are often chosen to grow in aquariums to kill tree snails. Most pufferfish have spiny skin and some have slippery skin, with colorful and fancy colors and patterns on the white back and abdomen.

A rather interesting feature of puffer fish is the ability to swallow air into the abdomen and bulge out like a balloon when threatened or attacked. So they are called by many funny names like puffer fish, swellfish, balloon fish (balloonfish, bubblefish) spherical fish (globefish). They can also change body color according to their emotional state, or environmental conditions.

Overall, the Tetraodontidae set consists of at least 121 species of 19 families. Most of them are saltwater fish and live in or around tropical coral reefs. But there are some species that are freshwater. We live in streams or estuaries.
