Flexible Wires: The New Future of Mobile Devices
Flexible wire of Japanese scientists can extend up to 5 times the original size. Especially it keeps the ability to conduct electricity well.
According to the Nikkei, researchers at the University. Tokyo, Japan has successfully developed a special type of conductor that could potentially be used on wearers or robots in the future.
The research team at the University of Tokyo, led by Professor Taakao Someya, has successfully developed the world's most conductive material. But the special thing is not there when this type can completely extend 5 times longer than the original length.
The application of this type of wire is quite high.
This wires are made from fine-grained powdered silver metal, fluorine-containing rubber, fluorosurfactants and organic solvents. They can be easily printed on rubber sheets or easily woven fabrics.
Researchers from Riken, Japan, observed that the powder coated with silver oxide melted and 8-nm silver pieces were distributed uniformly. These pieces of silver are the key to the high conductivity of any wire.
The application of this type of wire is quite high. Applications may be listed as printing and flexing to create sportswear, artificial leather or robotics. In the future, researchers will continue to improve the durability of the wires to meet in various cases.
The research of Japanese scientists has been published in the prestigious journal Nature Materials.
