Flies: intermediate transmission of H5N1?
Indonesian scientists have issued a worrying warning: flies may be the vectors of spreading the H5N1 bird flu virus.
Through molecular research, scientists discovered H5N1 in the body of flies in the respiratory system, digestive system, epidermis, muscles and eggs, according to Wasito Veterinary University expert. .
Researchers also found H5N1 in flies in areas that once extinguished bird flu. Only flies in areas of unprecedented outbreaks do not carry the virus. Wasito experts say the bird flu virus can be inherited at least 25 generations of flies.
