Thanks to her transportation, Mr. Tran So, in Binh Hiep commune, Binh Son district, said in astonishment: 'I am now in my seventies near the earth, this is the first time I have seen chickens with four legs like this, really so strange'.

According to the owner, from a young age, the chickens went back to feed on two feet. But the bigger and bigger, the lower legs shrink back to the back, giving way to the front legs. 'Many people have paid the price of buying chickens at the beginning of a few million, now to twenty million dong, but I do not sell because I think this is my predestined opportunity to celebrate for fun, ' said Thu.

Associate Professor Nguyen Khac Tich, genetic expert, who taught at the University of Agriculture 1, Hanoi, said that the phenomenon of 4-legged chickens is rare, but not very rare. In China, there were recorded chickens with 2 heads, 3 legs, or chickens with 6 fingers. Even in Vietnam, there have been 4-legged chickens in the mountainous areas of Nghe An and Ba Thuoc (Thanh Hoa).

Dr. Tich said that this phenomenon is not entirely genetic, but a mutation, often occurring in mountainous areas, with sudden climate change (like in Tibet), or awake sudden changes in food . create mutant or teratogenic animals, such as human face pigs in China, or dogs that are too big, too small, add extra legs .

In general, these mutant animals are often poorly motivated, poor metabolism, leading to poor reproduction, and may involve other defects.
