A part of humanity is always looking for new things throughout their lives. Such people are willing to accept different views, lifestyles and behaviors from the rest of society. So in political life they often support liberal and radical parties. The origin, belief, cultural environment, educational level do not seem to affect their views.

Telegraph said, scientists from the University of California at the US invited 2,000 Americans to participate in a study to find out if the gene has a role in the process of forming political views. They asked these people to fill out a survey to divide them into two groups according to the political point of view: open or conservative. Experts then analyzed the genes of all subjects studied.

The results showed that the majority of people in the ' open ' group had a gene called DRD4 while those in the " conservative " group did not own this gene. DRD4 is under the control of dopamine - a neurotransmitter that causes excitement.

Professor James Fowler, a member of the research team, said that genes and environmental factors affect political views.

' Our findings show that political views depend not only on the habitat and feeding situation, but also in the genes ,' he said.
