Giant solar storm is bigger than Earth

NASA's Solar Dynamics Observatory satellite captured a giant storm moving through the sun.

The storm is bigger than Earth and can expand hundreds of thousands of miles in the universe, traveling at 300,000 miles per hour (more than 480,000 km / h). This storm has a temperature of about 8,000 degrees Celsius, which is much cooler than its surrounding area of 2 million degrees.

These solar storms are again formed from fluctuations in the solar magnetic field

This phenomenal phenomenon, still not fully explained by scientists, was recorded by NASA's satellite observer for more than 30 hours in early January. This is a satellite that has accomplished half of a five-year mission to record the solar system's activities on the earth and changes in the sun's magnetic field.

According to Dailymail , this storm looks very much like the swirling winds on the earth, but their origins are completely different. Instead of forming due to changes in atmospheric pressure, this solar storm is formed by fluctuations in the solar magnetic field.

However, scientists cannot explain more about this phenomenon. This phenomenon has only been recorded since 1996.
