Guess the personality of a pet dog

The new study, published at the British Psychological Association conference of psychologist Lance Workman of the University of Bath, UK, says dogs and breeders have similarities in personality.

He and his colleagues contacted famous owners of 1,000 dogs at the Dog Breeding Club to investigate the types of dogs they raised and evaluated their character. Statistics show that people with different types of dogs have different characteristics.

Researchers found that owners of Corgi dogs are usually highly extroverted, while Cocker Spaniel breeders are known to be smart, kind and devoted.

Hound dogs such as fox dogs and beagle dogs are very calm, they often walk alongside those who are calm and reliable. The Great Dane breed shows that their owners are quite easy and smart. Breeders of Labradorda and Retriever dogs belong to good and sociable people.

Many people think that people who like mini dogs have a simple thought, but Workman has shown the opposite, they have open minded, intelligent and high creativity.

The results of this study can be used to compile multiple choice questions, helping those who want to keep dogs choose the right type for them, helping to reduce the number of abandoned dogs every year.
