He: Required to print the recommended image of the harmful effects of tobacco on the cover
The British government yesterday announced that next year, tobacco manufacturing companies were forced to print warning images on the cover to recommend drug addicts.
Health Minister Alan Johnson of the country said that England was the first member of the European Union to demand the printing of these warnings. He said: 'We have made much progress with warnings written straight on the cover.'
The warnings were selected as a sick lung cavity, an open chest for heart surgery and a large tumor on the neck. He chose 15 warning images in a collection given by the European Commission. Smoking has been banned in public places in the UK. From next year, the age permitted by law to buy cigarettes will increase from 16 to 18 years.
According to the British Ministry of Health, these new warning images are required to appear on cigarette packs in the second quarter of 2008.
