High sex hormones lead to adultery

Researchers found that in women with high levels of oestradiol (female sex hormones), they always gave off a strange attraction to men. And they also seem to be unfaithful, like to change their partners (and lovers).

Women with high levels of sex hormone oestradiol may be attracted to improvised sexual adventures. That's the conclusion of a new study conducted by psychologists, University of Texas at Austin (USA).

Fellows Dr. Kristina Durante and Associate Professor of Psychology Norm Li published their findings on the publication Proceedings of the Royal Society of London.

Durante said: " Our research provides evidence that psychological mechanisms continue to play an important role in driving women into sexual motives and behaviors ."

Durante and Li investigated the association between oestradiol, a hormone secreted by the ovaries, responsible for fertilization with sexual stimulation among the 52 female students, not using contraceptives. . Volunteers participated in experiments between the ages of 17 and 30.

The researchers determined the hormone levels of volunteers at 2 times before and after their ovulation cycle and asked them to assess their own appearance. At the same time, independent observers also point to the attractiveness of each volunteer.

Volunteers must also honestly answer relevant questions and self-identify about their intention to deceive their husbands (or " guts ").

Researchers found that when oestradiol levels in women were high, they always realized that they were very attractive . In people with higher levels of oestradiol - as they admit - the desire to be flirted, to be kissed and to carry out an affair increases.

In contrast, people with low levels of oestradiol (especially below average) are always satisfied with their husbands (or lovers).

Durante further explains: "Our findings suggest that women who are easy to conceive are often not easily satisfied with a permanent partner and often actively seek out 'more interesting partners' ." She added: "However, that doesn't mean they like to be attracted to unprepared sex. Instead, they still accept the monogamy (serial monogamy) marriage .
