Male discovered better adultery than female

The unconscious fear of maintaining the race makes men always overestimate the ability of women to adultery, but because of that they discover betrayal behavior more accurately, US scientists claim.

Scientists at Virginia Commonwealth University asked 203 young men and women about emotional issues, including having a crush on others while still having good relationships with their partners.

'80% of women correctly judge whether their lover is betraying or not, while the number in the male group is 94%, ' said Paul Andrews, lead researcher.

After that, the team gave the volunteers a list of true love stories but did not disclose the ending and asked them to speculate. The results showed that men correctly detected betrayal behavior in 75% of cases, while this figure in women was only 40%.

' In maintaining the race, men are at higher risk. Children always carry women's genes whether or not they are faithful to their partners. Meanwhile, men are more likely to be deprived of the opportunity to maintain their breed if their partners are unfaithful. Naturally, because men are very afraid of raising others' children, their ability to detect betrayal of their partners develops gradually in the course of evolution , 'he explained.

David Buss, a doctor of psychology at the University of Texas (USA), said that 'subconscious bias' for women makes men tend to overestimate the possibility of being betrayed by their partners.

Research shows that women deal with male biases by developing the ability to hide love 'out of line'. According to Paul's statistics, only 10% of betrayed women reveal affair with a third person, while that figure in men is much higher.
