Hue: Raising trade momentum for farm households

The project of raising farm scale for farm households was implemented by the Center for Advanced Science and Technology Application in Phu Loc town, Thua Thien-Hue province, in June 2010.

The project supports the construction of 4 cages (4x3x2.5m), 4 breeding cages (2x1x1,5m) and 20 breeding period of 4 males and 16 females (equivalent to 30kg of breed).

In order for the project to be implemented on schedule, the project host has trained a team of technicians, project beneficiaries and people in the project area to master the technical procedures for raising commercial scale daisies. farm / farm.

The barn breeding cages are made like crocodile cages, can be net cages or cement cages, around the bowl to keep the momentum from climbing the wall.

In the barn, it is possible to build concrete caves or to store a sewer pipe of 0.1-0.2m long, over 2m long, to ensure the environment is suitable for the period of retreat, rest and prevention of hot sun.

The floor is covered with cement, and then poured sand about 20-25cm in one third of the outside cage.

The period of growth and development is strong after every skin peeling, once a year stripping skin once from August to October. Maturity is after 18 months of age and begins to lay eggs, once a year, each litter is 15- 17 eggs and only about 35% of eggs are able to hatch.

If organizing artificial hatching to ensure technical requirements, hatching rate can reach 80-90%. Currently, the price of daisy meat is about 300,000-400,000 VND / kg, bringing about quite large and stable economic efficiency for people.

Farming-scale farming is quite simple, easy to do, less expensive, making use of idle labor in the family. This model needs to be replicated in Thua Thien Hue.
