Hunting for alien life, the NASA ship suddenly went missing

The incident occurred on January 18 and until now NASA has not been able to contact the alien life hunter Ingenutiy .

Ingenutiy is a small helicopter-like robotic lander, a companion to the famous Mars exploration rover Perseverance. In an unexpected incident, the couple who are exploring this "alien life domain " just lost each other.

To communicate, Ingenutiy transmits data through Perseverance, then this rover-like robot continues to transmit both data to NASA scientists.

According to Space.com, the final data from the Martian helicopter shows that it successfully flew to a designated maximum height of 12 meters and then landed.

Then, communication was suddenly cut off mid-landing.

The Ingenutiy team is analyzing the data to consider the next steps to reestablish contact with the helicopter.

According to this group, perhaps it's time for Perseverance to "repay" its companion. Accordingly, NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL), which manages both Mars robots, plans to ask Perseverance to find the helicopter.

Previously, the pair Perseverance and Ingenutiy landed on Mars in February 2021 in the Jezero Crater area, a giant crater where a large lake and a river delta are believed to have existed billions of years ago.

Therefore, that is also the place where NASA most expects the presence of creatures, at least ancient creatures.

In this hunt for alien creatures, Ingenutiy will act as a scout. It was on its 72nd exploratory flight before contact was lost.

Based on the helicopter's reconnaissance data, the Perseverance rover is larger, slower, but carries enough "tools" to take samples and do small on-site experiments, and will explore areas in detail. There may be traces of life.
