On a stormy night in October 1996, the Florida, US Coast Guard received a call from MAYDAY (international code, used as a radio signal of danger) from passengers on a 20-meter Intrepid sailboat. . They said that their boat was overturned, all were waiting for help on life buoys.
Coast Guard sent four aircraft to search around Intrepid's area that night and the next morning. The range is extended to 16,000 km 2 . However, the police could not find any evidence that the boat and 16 passengers were present.
Witchcraft
On the night of December 22, 1967, Dan Burack and Patrick Horgan left the marina in Miami, USA with a cabin-cruiser (a ship with one or a few small cubicles) named Witchcraft. Both want to take a short trip to see the beautiful scenery at sea on Christmas. They stopped the boat near buoy 7, more than a kilometer from shore because of crashing into a strange object below. Burack was quite calm when he called the coast rescue to announce the situation, asking for help.
According to the Coast Guard, Burack had reason to calm down, because his ship was designed to not sink.Part of it always floats on the water and they have life buoys.(Photo: Thequesterfiles).
But 19 minutes after the police arrived, they could not find the ship with two tourists. The scope of the search expanded to 3,000 km 2 , then 63,000 km 2 but no results.
Authorities said they could not give an explanation for this case. Even the police did not find evidence of the ship sinking into the sea. Everything completely disappeared into nothingness.
Mary Celeste
Mary Celeste is not a cruise ship, but the most famous name whenever someone mentions mysterious disappearances at sea. On December 4, 1872, a month after departure, the ship was found in the Atlantic Ocean. There were no shadows on the train, though the weather was very good and the crew were experienced seafarers. The ship was still in good condition and still sailed toward Gibraltar's waist. Drinking water and food are still enough for more than 6 months.
When the sailor of the ship Dei Gratia went to Mary Celester, the cargo was still undamaged. Personal belongings of passengers and crew remain in place, including valuables. The disappearance of these people is still one of the greatest maritime mysteries of all time.
