Images show the Earth is gray, not blue

A photo recently taken by Japanese weather satellite shows the real image of the Earth, which surprised many people.

Captured by Japanese weather satellites showing the real picture of the Earth, many people are amazed. The photo was taken from a distance of 35,790km, without using an image filter or through any editing operations.

Picture 1 of Images show the Earth is gray, not blue
The picture shows the actual colors of Earth when taken from outer space.

The photo was taken by Himawari-8 satellite, with a resolution of up to 11,000 megapixels, allowing you to see clearly the clouds, oceans and desert regions in Australia. The photo was posted on the Japan Meteorological Agency website, but due to its size, it took a long time to load the image.

Picture 2 of Images show the Earth is gray, not blue
The photo has been edited to show the dominant green color of the sea.

Earth photographs taken from the previous space are all edited to look like what the human eye can see. These images are calibrated in color and enhance the brightness. This editing makes it easy to see which areas are blue sea water, yellow desert, green mountain forest and white clouds.

The picture of the Earth is quite popular published by NASA, of course this image has gone through color correction.

And because 71% of the Earth's surface is water, images of the Earth before us show us a blue planet of seawater. However, in fact, when we look at the universe, we can hardly distinguish these colors, and we see that a dominant color is gray.

Picture 4 of Images show the Earth is gray, not blue
It is clear that the sea surface is reflecting sunlight, the movement of clouds and the desert land of Australia.

The picture taken by Himawari-8 also clearly shows the northern part of Australia reflecting sunlight. However, we do not really see the blue of the sea.
