Inauguration of four areas for semi-natural bears

On November 5, Animals Asia celebrated the inauguration of four semi-natural bears for bear care at Vietnam Bear Rescue Center in Tam Dao National Park, Vinh Phuc province.

Bear rescue center has been in operation since 2006. Since its inception, the center has saved more than 100 individual bears and sun bears, bringing them into a safe environment in widely-sold natural areas to help bears. gradually restore health and natural instincts.

Power grids are located in all bear areas, which is a safe measure to avoid uncontrolled bears.

This is the bear's residence, divided into small chambers.A number of specially equipped bear rooms, suitable for physical fitness and mobility of crippled bear animals, are rescued from bile bear farms.

Two newly completed twin bear areas have improved compared to the previously established bear parks at the Center.Facilities of the Center currently have a quarantine area, 5 double bear houses with 10 semi-wild areas, special care areas.

Due to the narrowing of habitat and hunting of bears for inclusion in bear farms, the number of wild bears in Vietnam is estimated at only a few hundred individuals.

Due to being locked up and kept in cages, bears lose their ability to search for food.The small holes in this tree are chiseled to allow bears to climb and find food in many places, re-instilling the instinct to live in nature.

At the center, 4 bears lost one leg and two were blind due to the arrest process.

On January 19, 2010, the Asian Animal Foundation rescued 19 bears kept in three containers that the farm owner had to deliver due to being unable to meet the requirements for managing bear bears.This is also the first time a bear bile farm in Vietnam has been completely closed.

At the center, bears are cared for and restored to health, free to move their bodies and seek food to gradually restore their natural instincts.The Asian Animal Organization is committed to caring for bears for life selection.
