According to a reporter in India, the spacecraft is expected to land amphibious equipment near the undiscovered South Pole 48 days after the launch, carrying out the task of mineral analysis, mapping. surface and water search on this planet.

The devices sent by Chandrayaan-2 to the Moon consist of an orbiter, an amphibious device, an autonomous device. Most components are designed and manufactured by India. The mission cost is estimated at about $ 141 million.

If successful, the Moon 2 mission will be important to mark the leap in India's space exploration, making it the fourth country after the US, Russia and China to take down. soft wing and deployment of self-propelled devices on the surface of the Moon.

Spacecraft operating on orbit will have a life of about 1 year to serve the mission, while self-propelled solar-powered devices can move up to 500 meters and are expected to work for 14 days.

India launched the Chandrayaan-1 spacecraft flying around the Moon in 2008. In November 2013, India launched a satellite orbiting Mars.

After Moon 2's mission, India will continue to operate its first manned space flight in 2022. By 2030, the country will launch a separate space station. That will be one of the most ambitious projects that New Delhi pursues.
