Interesting things about British Tien meteor shower

British Fairy Meteor (Perseid) rushes into the earth's atmosphere at a speed of 60 km / sec and is heated to thousands of degrees Celsius.

Anh Tien meteor shower is an event that takes place in August every year due to the earth entering the dust area left by a comet.

Anh Tien meteor streaks fly very fast. They plunge into the earth's atmosphere at an average speed of 60 km / sec. Most meteors are only as small as sand grains, but some may be as big as marbles. Meteors fall to the ground called meteorites. However, most meteors do not fall to the ground.

The remnants of comet Swift-Tuttle cause the Anh Tien meteor shower. Swift-Tuttle Comet is the largest object flying through the earth every year. Its core is about 9.7 km in diameter, equivalent to the meteorite that once made the dinosaur extinct.

In the 90s, an astronomer named Brian Marsden had predicted that the comet Swift-Tuttle could plunge into the earth in the future. Soon many scientists rejected this judgment. Despite this, Marsden claimed Swift-Tuttle's comet and the earth would almost crash into each other in 3044.

When an English fairy star streaks into the atmosphere, it compresses the air ahead. The rubbing of the air caused the meteor to be heated to temperatures of more than 1,650 degrees Celsius. That heat causes most of the meteor to evaporate, creating a trail of light in the sky. Humans can see meteors when they are about 97 km or less. Some meteors are large in size so they create fireballs and can sometimes cause explosions when touching the ground.

Comet Swift-Tuttle has many "relatives" . Most of these comets formed in a very far dust cloud called Oort and never entered the solar system. Only a few comets, like Swift-Tuttle, were pulled towards the solar system by the gravity of a star.

Anh Tien meteor streaks can be separated from 96 to 160 km. They maintain that distance in the region with the densest material density in the cloud left by Swift-Tuttle comet. This comet takes 130 years to fly around the sun. During the move it leaves the dust cloud. This cloud drifted in the universe and also moved around the sun in orbit similar to the orbit of the Swift-Tuttle comet.

As the earth rotates, the part facing the sun tends to receive more dust from the universe. The cosmic dusty sky appeared again at dawn. For that reason, people often see Anh Tien meteor shower and other meteor shower most clearly before sunrise about a few hours.

Astronomers saw the last comet Swift-Tuttle in 1992. At that time people could use binoculars to observe it. Earlier it was discovered by two American astronomers Lewis Swift and Horace Tuttle in 1862. So the name of this comet was named Swift-Tuttle.

Scientists have calculated the trajectory of comet Swift-Tuttle for nearly 2,000 years. Based on many ancient documents, they claim that it was seen since 188. Even some scientists think it was discovered in 69 BC.

Swift-Tuttle comet will appear in the sky in 2126 and then humans can see it with the naked eye.
