International space station infected with strange bacteria

According to a new study, the International Space Station (ISS) is attacked by strange strains of bacteria that could put astronauts at risk of "serious damage" in the future.

A NASA team discovered a thriving ecosystem of 'pathogenic organisms' on ISS similar to the bacteria found in hospitals on Earth.

Specifically, scientists have found five different types of intestinal bacteria , and with their calculations, it is possible that 79% of them can cause disease.

Besides the gym, the toilet area on the space station was identified as one of the main infection points.

The strains of strange bacteria that have just been discovered on the international space station (ISS) can cause illness for astronauts in the future, and no one has been done yet.

The frightening thing is that some of the bacteria may be resistant bacteria that lead to astronauts at serious risk if traditional treatments become useless.

Dr. Nitin Singh, the lead author of the report, said: 'With the diverse results of these bacteria resistance and increased pathogenicity, we have determined that these species have the potential to harm. Significant health in future missions'.

However, the researchers also stressed that these bacteria are not harmful to those currently present.

Dr. Singh added: "It is important to understand that the bacterial strains found on ISS are not toxic, meaning that they are not a major threat to human health, but need to be monitored. ".

Dr. Kasthuri Venkateswaran, a microbiologist at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory, revealed that three of the bacterial strains belong to a pathogen in the newborn.

These mysterious strains of bacteria have also infected 'one pathogen' , which suggests they may have been affected by ambient conditions, making them more susceptible to pathogens.
