LG launches a razor-thin TV

Korea's LG Electronics unveiled its first ultra-thin OLED television with a 55-inch size. With the new technology, this TV model has a razor-thin screen design, sharper color and faster image rotation than previous generation TVs.

OLED displays have been used extensively on smartphones such as Samsung's Galaxy S2, but so far manufacturing large screens using OLED technology has not yet become popular due to its high price and complexity. magazine.

However, LG Electronics has made a breakthrough by introducing a 55-inch OLED TV with a 4mm screen, at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas earlier this week. OLED televisions have the ability to update images 1,000 times faster than current LED TVs.

LG says its new production process will reduce costs much cheaper than it did before, but has not announced a specific price. Representatives of LG revealed that 55-inch OLED TVs were made with four-color dots, which made the images sharper and more true.

"We have a product that not only outperforms the LCD screen but is cheaper ," said Havis Kwon, chief executive of LG Electronics. "Obviously, OLED TVs will become popular in the future."
