Researchers at Queen's University in Canada have teamed up with Plastic Logic and the Intel Lab to develop a paper-thin, paper-thin monitor called PaperTab . This can create a revolution in the production of ultra-thin and ultra-durable electronic devices.

It's easier when you have to handle multiple data at the same time.

Expected next-generation desktops with thin-film displays will be officially unveiled at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas this week.

Instead of using multiple applications or windows on one screen, the next-generation desktop will have over 10 ultra-thin PaperTab screens with different applications. The ultra-slim screens can also be used as an e-book and the user simply bends the screen to flip the page.

"Using a number of PaperTab screens makes it easier for you to handle multiple materials at once ," said Roel Vertegaal of Queen's College and a member of the research team.

For example, the PaperTab screen allows users to send pictures simply by touching a screen containing an image with a screen with an open email editor. After that, the photo will automatically be attached to the email.

Intel believes that the new display technology could soon replace traditional monitors. "In the next five to 10 years, the vast majority of computers from ultra-thin laptops to tablets will use thin-film monitors as a color-coded paper ," said Ryan Brotman, Intel research scientist. , said.
