According to the Washington Post, this bacterium is common in both dogs and cats. Usually the bacteria in the saliva of most healthy dogs does not harm humans. But in rare cases, it can poison blood and cause death.

Capnocytophaga bacteria cause blood infection and create hematomas that look like bruises all over the body. Manteufel despite having been given antibiotics but blood clots blocked blood throughout his limbs, causing his muscle cells to die. You have to cut off the leg from the knee down, then the hand.

According to the Washington Post, Capnocytophaga bacteria are often transmitted by dog ​​bites and are life-threatening for alcoholics or congenital diseases that make the spleen not work properly.
