The US Aeronautics and Aeronautics Agency (NASA) said the Mars explorer robot has the full name Mars Exploration Rover Opportunity discovered mineral ores on the planet, apparently originating from water.

The mineral-containing site was named Homestake , about a human thumb wide.
NASA says Rover's cameras have discovered minerals in water as gypsum in the form of crystals. On Earth, gypsum is used to make fake walls and powder to fill walls and ceilings.
NASA believes that the ore is probably formed from water flowing from volcanic rocks.
NASA launched the Curiosity expedition ship carrying a space exploration robot to Mars last month. Curiosity will explore the inner crater as it approaches this place in the middle of next year.
