Mars explorer robot fails a sensor
The first incident in the attempt to explore Mars happened yesterday after a wind sensor of the Curiosity device stopped working.

The US Aerospace Agency (NASA) has yet to find the cause of one of the wind sensors on the Curiosity column. But technical experts speculate that some rocks on the surface of Mars hit the sensor when Curiosity landed on the planet on August 5. They claim this is not a major incident. It only reduces the quality of wind data collection, but does not prevent data collection altogether, the BBC reported.
Javier Gomez-Elvira, one of Curiosity's technical experts, hopes he will find a solution to overcome the consequences of the incident.
The weather research system is a device contributed by Spain to Curiosity. It measures air and above ground temperatures, air pressure, wind speed, ultraviolet radiation that Mars receives from the sun. These parameters are collected by many Curiosity sensors, including two wind sensors on the robot column.
Curiosity, the name of the robot that explores Mars, lands on the red planet on August 5. One of Curiosity's tasks is to explore the environment of Sharp mountains during the formation of the mountain period. In addition, it must search for evidence of the existence of bacteria in the past of Mars. Many photographs taken by artificial satellites show that sediment layers at the foot of Sharp Mountain may contain a lot of water, a material essential to the survival of living organisms.
