Devil's gecko is an endemic species in tropical, rainforest forests of Northern and Central Madagascar. The scientific name is the Uroplatus phantasticus.

They are dubbed "monks rising" because of the rather heterogeneous external shape and invisibility, transforming the unexpected color of the demon gecko.

Devil geckos live in trees and come in different colors like purple, brown, orange, yellow . They have red eyes, however their eye color will change with the body color to match the surroundings.

Devil geckos are also the smallest size, weight in their relatives. When the gecko maturity is only 6.3–16cm long and weighs 35–50g.

With veins, tendons on the spine and the entire body, they look like an unexpectedly dry leaf. The ability to change colors is an effective weapon to help the invincible gecko lie resting, sunbathing on branches and foliage without fear of being detected.
