When men chat, their main topic is football, not a wife or a girlfriend, or even a job.

According to Chinadaily, nearly 90% of men asked in a global survey said they were "eight" about their favorite teams and players when compensating their friends. Other important topics are only mentioned at the second level, with 45%, and the job is in a lesser position - with 34%.

"It seems that this is not news that women want to hear, but it seems that men only really think about every single thing when they meet their friends - that's football, " said Tim Ellerton, from Heineken International Institute. The agency sponsored this survey, said.

Football dominates most of the men's conversations in China and Russia, with 94% and 93% respectively, according to the survey conducted in 15 countries, involving 5,300 men.

Women slipped to the third position of interest in conversation topics, after work (second row) and football (top) in Germany and France.

But England is a country with fans. Men discuss and watch their favorite teams more anywhere in the world. They watch an average of 2 hours 22 minutes a week and spend more time discussing results, goals, incidents and gossip.

Brazil came in second with an average of 92 minutes per guy watching football, followed by Thailand, Ireland and Mexico.

South Africa, the host of the World Cup next month, was named the most socialized football nation, because 20% of men watched their favorite teams in groups of 10 or more.

57% of men said they liked Europe's Champions League rather than the World Cup.
