Men's voice related to strength

A male dog will groan to express his obedience to a stronger dog, but he will lower his voice to growl threatening to know that a war will take place. Men also do the same thing unconsciously.

Picture 1 of Men's voice related to strength A new study shows that the more the man lowered his voice, the more powerful he proved to others. And the man will lower his voice when he meets someone who thinks he is less powerful than him, but raises his voice when talking to someone who thinks he is stronger than him.

The results may help explain why voices in men and women are different.

The voice of a man is only half as high as that of a woman. This difference is still thought to be the product of sex selection, whereby women like men with deep voices.

One reason women like these guys with warm voices is because it is about body size. Older guys often have a deeper voice because they have longer vocal cords. The larynx structure is also thought to be a sign of testosterone content, a hormone related to violence and physical strength.

Studies have shown that women like men with deep voices when they are in the most fertile stage, and also like low-pitched guys for flashy love.

Like the buzzing in dogs, men raise their voices with another strong person as an unconscious way to show respect. Men can pretend to create a deep voice to be more powerful than reality, but if anyone overrides this pretense, the results may turn upside down, David Puts at the University of Pittsburgh in Pennsylvania said.

Puts argued that deep voices reflect physical strength rather than power in society, because social status is judged by talent and persuasiveness rather than physical strength.
