Professor Norman Hogikyan and colleagues at the University of Michigan, USA, gathered 10 tips to keep your voice beautiful.

1. Drink plenty of water, avoid alcohol and caffeine. Your vocal cords vibrate very quickly, the full amount of water will keep it smooth. Foods that are high in water will help you to fight very well, like apples, pears, watermelons, peaches, grapes, plums .

2. Allow your voice to rest a little each day, especially when you have to use it a lot. For example, teachers should stay off talking at recess and find a quiet lunch instead of talking loudly with colleagues.

3. No smoking. If you have done it, give it up. Smoking increases the risk of throat cancer, second-hand smoke or passive smoking also irritates the larynx.

4. Do not abuse or break your voice. Avoid screaming and screaming and don't say loudly in a noisy area. If your throat is dry or your voice is hoarse, stop talking. A hoarse voice is a warning sign that your vocal cords are swollen.
