Mexican artists create a rainbow in the house

Can you tell if this is a rainbow from light or any other material?

Beautiful rainbow phenomenon has appeared in the center of an art gallery, attracting a lot of visitors' attention.

This amazing work was created by Mexican artist Gabriel Dawe, who created the illusion of visitors when they made them believe they were seeing a miraculous natural phenomenon right in the house.

Dawe's work, Plexus No.35, was specially created for display at the Large Gallery of the Toledo Museum of Art, Ohio.

A closer look helps reveal the nature of the rainbow

But the spectra present here are not the result of light refraction. Instead it is an amazing illusion , created by thousands of small threads.

This twinkling fiber-woven work has been designed to look like a spiral of light from a ceiling window, then colorful rays spread throughout the room.

Originally a graphic designer, Dawe moved from his hometown in Mexico City, where the artist was influenced by color usage, to Montreal, Canada, in 2000.

In Dawe's personal facebook, it says: " He started experimenting and art creation, eventually leading him to explore the art of renting and textiles - these are traditional activities associated with women and men. boy in Mexico is prohibited from participating in this work. "

" Therefore, your job is to change the notions of gender that are deeply rooted in the culture of your country."

Dawe then attended the University of Texas at Dallas and exhibited his work in Dallas, Houston, Montreal, Toronto and Barcalona.

He recently exhibited his work at the Smithsonian's Renwick Gallery in Washington DC.

Art lovers can admire this artificial rainbow at the gallery until January 22, 2017.
