Andrew Linn has now recovered.

Andrew Linn, 28, has encountered a unique accident at the end of last year while driving in a sleepy state. Linn rushed out of the traffic direction before crashing into a metal fence.

Emergency personnel said a metal pipe of the fence had pierced the car's glass into Linn's face at the upper jaw just below the right side of the nose. The steel pipe flew some of his father's two teeth before piercing through his throat to the back of his neck and stabbing into the back door of the car.

Rescue workers had to cut metal pipes to get the driver out of the car and transfer emergency to the hospital.

Linn, from Las Vegas, could not lie down because the metal pipe pierced his head, so he had to sit on his way to the hospital and during the first surgery. Linn, a business marketing student at the University of Southern Utah, has no memory of the horrific accident.'I don't know exactly what happened because I don't remember anything about the accident'.

The steel pipe stabbed from the front pierced Mr. Linn's head to the back.

The accident happened when Linn and his wife and two children were on their way home to enjoy the Thanksgiving holiday in Las Vegas in November 2010. The injury department doctors at the University of Las Vegas University Medical Center said it was a miracle when Linn survived.

'If the steel pipe is just 1cm across Linn's face, he won't be able to survive,' said Dr. Jay Coates, Linn's chief medical officer.

Linn said he had survived a trip to Iraq and another car accident when a drunk driver crashed into the back of his car.
