Multipurpose unmanned vehicles
Northrop Grumman Group (UGV) has released the latest generation of unmanned vehicles (UGVs) called Cutlass, which is used to monitor and deal with dangerous threats such as terrorism, chemical catastrophe.
The Cutlass has low-cost, four-speed manual intervention, which is four times faster than other UGVs.
Cutlass is designed as a modular, allowing users to be safe from a distance, including the detection and handling of explosive ordnance.
It's very flexible design, fitted with a range of sensors and tools. These include sensitive, sensitive viewing devices.
Cutlass's machine arm has three fingers to hold the object. Pinch fingers into a blade, which can sever the cable. The handgrip has 9 degrees of freedom, hydraulically controlled, allowing for flexible travel in limited space, minimizing damage to property, protecting forensic evidence.
Moving Cutlass by 6 wheels, speed up to 12km / h, it exceeds obstacles, thanks to roaring about 40cm, ensure balance, good cross country ...
In the picture we see Cutlass has a large arm, clamped and lifted a tank of chemicals 60 cm in diameter. It easily crosses the railroad with strong, solid rubber tires. The diameter of each tire is about 40cm.
The Cutlass will be on display at the anti-terrorism facility, maintaining security here in London England.
